Course Information
Swim 800 meter
The glassy water of Black Butte Lake provides fast splits in and out of Buckhorn Boat Dock. The swim length will be a simple out and back from the dock providing a wonderful spectator show. There will also be lifeguards providing water safety along the swim course. The water temperature historically is around the mid to low 60′s. Though with the El Nino in full swing the tempatures can swing in either direction.
Bike Course 15 miles:
After a quick transition out of the swim, the bike course offers a mellow ride out of the campgrounds. Take in the beautiful scenery as you whip through the quick out and back bike course.
The course will exit the campgrounds and go east on Newville Road. The riders will make a left on to Black Butte Road heading North. Once the riders accelerate through some quick rollers they will be cruising along a super wide road to the turn around. The quick ride back to the campgrounds will allow riders to make up lost ground!

Run 3.1 Miles
All of this madness wraps up on a looped trail run through the rolling green hills of the campground. After running through the sprawling green fields, you will begin your descent to the lake for a flat, fast, dockside finish.
