Course Information

Swim 1.5 km (.9 mile)

The glassy waters of Black Butte Lake provide the backdrop for the swim course, which will start at the main dock area, where swimmers will head out to the first swim buoy continuing clockwise, keeping the highly visible buoys to their right. Ending at the dock there, will be a quick jog to T1. Lifeguards will provide water safety along the swim course. The water temperature historically is around the mid to low 60′s.  Though with the El Nino in full swing the temperatures can swing in either direction.

Bike Course 40 km (24.8 mile)
Following the transition onto the bike, racers will follow a mellow path out of the campgrounds and through a quick bunch of rollers on their way north towards Corning. Take in the beautiful scenery as you whip through the quick out and back bike course.
