I got some reality for you … it is still hard work. There is no way of candy coating it. Building a race from the ground up is the equivalent of blindly hoping that you are going to win the lottery… well lets not be dramatic here.  There are a lot of moving parts, long hours, countless miles driving and early to super late days…. But at the end of the day when you have a day like we had promoting for the upcoming season… it is all worth while.! We had a great time at Tinman Triathlon at Mt Shasta this last weekend. Though I would have loved to have raced and did not anticipate a sold out event, we pinch hit for tri-geeks while we were there. A cute couple was in a panic as the guy forgot his helmet… so we hooked them up and hopefully will see them at our event in 2012! Then we got down and dirty and took some epic shoots for the CTC crew with a fancy SLR… hopefully they enjoyed it. Regardless, we spread the love of Black Butte to all that were there and hope to see the entire race come down for our event this June! Being racers ourselves we know we see some things at events that the race officials might not…. so with that we thank you! But the biggest result is after a lot of consulting, discussing, meditating and levitating we have concluded on what our next steps are going to be. The race is moving to the 2nd weekend in June from here on out. Plain and simple people tell us they can deal with a bit of heat more over than a bit of cold.
